Dear Target,
Most Saturdays, I feel the need to see you. Every Saturday morning that I visit, I tell myself “just get the things you need- nothing extra.”
This Saturday, I said, “just a pair of shoes, just a pair of shoes” as I left my house, heading your way. As I walked in your doors, I whispered “shoes, shoes, shoes, shoes” to myself. Then, I saw the Mr. Meyers soap and told myself that we definitely need more. Then, I saw the Starbucks and told myself I definitely needed a coffee for this intended shoe endeavor. Then, I saw post-it notes and flare pens and binder clips and told myself that we definitely needed more. This pattern continued as I traveled down each aisle, with my final destination at the shoe aisle.
So there I find myself, at the self-checkout with so much more than shoes. I’ve heard I’m not the only one who you have this influence on. Tell me your secrets.
Sincerely,
a loyal customer
Yep, that happens to me in Target too. What is it about that store that makes us buy more than what we need?!

So so so so SO TRUE!I Love Meyers soap, just washed my hands and am smelling the lavender (my favorite), it really is aromatherapy … shoes, hmm… I am now in an orthopedic shoe on one foot and it’s a funny height so I will need a shoe (ok a pair) that will work for the next four weeks . . . good thing I can’t drive. BUT – I am keeping Amazon busy! Question: Do you think Target will answer you back?!?!?!?

You have another mentor text to use for a fun section in writing one day. Just saying.

Allie,
I love the letter to Target. It made me click on your link! Very fun. You definitely needed all those Target treasures.

Oh, gracious, Target… what can I say? I try not to go every weekend and when I go I try and avoid certain area and stick to my list. It’s a weakness.
